Ramadan brings heavenly joys for the Muslims. About 1.7 billion Muslims all over the world wait for this month anxiously for the whole year. They do fasting for 29/30 days to seek the forgiveness of Allah Almighty. The angels shower the Heavenly gifts and pleasures on the Muslims. Ramadan is the most important month of the Islamic calendar because of the Holy Quran’s first revelation descent in this month. So, the Muslims recite the Holy Quran and special prayers called Taravih and Salat-ul-Tasbeeh in this blessed month along with the five obligatory prayers.
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran, “Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind, also Clear (Signs) for guidance and the differentiation (between right and wrong)” (Quran, 2:185)
At another place, He says in the Holy Quran, “O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may learn piety and righteousness” (Quran, 2:183)
