Ramadan holds great importance in the festivities of blessings as special congregational prayers are established in it which are not part of the normal routine throughout the year. Taraweeh prayer is especially held during nights of Ramadan. It is an excessive night prayer other than isha prayer and tahajud prayer. It is permissible to perform it at home in solitude but preferred to be performed in congregation at the mosque or in the congregation at home. In Ramadan, one jus or 30th part of the Quran is recited at the mosque in taraweh at each night. Thus a special essence is imparted to Ramadan by offering tarawih prayer at the mosque, in the special case when during the month you are able to listen to the whole Quran being recited at the mosque throughout the whole month.
As the Islamic day begins when the sun sets, Ramadan is expected to be announced in the evening of 6th of May. With the beginning of Ramadan, the blessed ritual of congregational prayer of taraweh will also start. Before the actual beginning of the fast, the taraweh prayer will be performed. Similarly, after the observance and breaking of the twenty-ninth fast, the prayer is delayed to have the determination of the fast being observed next day or not. If the new moon is sighted Ramadan is ended and there is no fast on the next day. There is no traweh prayer if the new moon is sighted. Gold Coast anticipate Ramadan. below Sehar & Iftar Time are mentioned, please refer for acknowledgment.
